With Dylan "Light" Catipon getting more comfortable to his new team, Aurora seemed to have finally shaken off the jitters after bouncing back from a winless Week 1 with statement victories over last season grand finalists Team Liquid PH and Onic Philippines.
Jan "Domeng" Delmundo starred for the Northern Lights in their first assignment against TLPH, putting up a series-long brilliance that was highlighted by a Maniac in the series opener to complete a 2-1 victory.
Aurora then proved that the win was far from being a fluke as it then added Onic PH to its list of victims with a 2-1 reverse sweep.
The opening game loss seemed to have poked the beast in Aurora as it ran wild around the map behind the aggression from Kenneth "Yue" Tadeo and Edward "Edward" Dapadap in the last two games.
Aurora improved to a 2-1 record, enough for a solo third in the standings that is being led still by Week 1 leader Twisted Minds.
The Bonn "Bon Chan" Ricaplaza-mentored squad actually kept its record pristine through three games when it scored a 2-1 victory over Omega Esports.
The team, however, faced a TLPH team determined to get back on track after the earlier loss to Aurora. The Cavalry proved to be too much for TWIS as Karl "Karltzy" Nepomuceno reminded the league why he is the widely considered the "GOAT" of MLBB with a vintage performance in the series.
Twisted Minds now boasts a 3-1 record followed by Onic PH which split its assignment in Week 2.
Omega Esports, which bounced back from the earlier loss to Twisted Minds with a 2-0 win over Falcon Esports, is at the third spot with a 2-2 record along with Team Liquid.
TNC and AP.Bren are at the sixth and seventh spots with a similar 1-2 record while Team Falcons, which is surprisingly struggling this season, is at the cellar with a 1-3 slate.
