Two men were arrested for pointing guns at bystanders in Aroma Compound, Barangay 105, Tondo, Manila on Tuesday, Sept. 2, the Manila Police District (MPD) said.
Based on the police report obtained by Manila Bulletin, roving police officers near the area were flagged down by a village watchman and reported two armed men challenging bystanders to a fight.
Upon arrival at the scene, the policemen caught one of the suspects swaying and pointing his revolver at people, prompting them to apprehend the two.
The suspects attempted to flee when they noticed the officers approaching, but they were eventually caught and taken into custody.
The MPD said one of the suspects yielded a .38-caliber revolver with live ammunition, while an improvised firearm was recovered from his cohort.
Both men are facing charges of alarm and scandal and illegal possession of firearms.
