PDEA: P3.4 M worth of shabu seized in Parañaque City buy-bust

Government anti-narcotics authorities seized on Monday, Sept. around 1, P3.4 million worth of shabu following the arrest of three top drug suspects during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said.
In a statement, the PDEA said that the suspects were collared at around 11:36 a.m. during the operation, adding that they are connected to shabu distribution in Metro Manila and the neighboring towns in Bulacan.
Aside from the approximated 500 grams of shabu, the marked money used by the undercover agent was confiscated during the buy-bust.
Alias Nards, Chris and Lon face charges for violation Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs), in relation to Section 26B (conspiracy to sell drugs) of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’
The PDEA said that the non-bailable offense carries a penalty of life imprisonment and fine ranging from P500,000 to P10,000,000 “upon conviction.’’
