Manila LGU receives barrels of granulated chlorine for clean-up ops
One hundred barrels of granulated chlorine were donated to the city government of Manila to be used for its city-wide cleaning and disinfecting operations to curb diseases and viruses, especially in places with high foot traffic.
Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso personally received the donated chemicals from Flying Horse Food Mart at the City Hall on Monday, Sept. 1, and said the donation will be used by the City General Services Office (CGSO) for the cleaning of Manila's public pools and markets.
Your donation will greatly assist our staff in their daily work of cleaning and maintaining order in our city, especially in public markets)," Domagoso said.
Despite the daily clean-up and flushing operations of the CSGO and Department of Engineering and Public Works-Manila, the mayor urged Manileños to also do their part in maintaining the cleanliness of the city by being responsible in their waste disposal and avoiding dumping their trash into the streets.
