DepEd employee killed as motorcycle crashes into carabao cart

BACOLOD CITY – A 42-year-old Department of Education (DepEd) employee died after his motorcycle crashed into a parked carabao cart in Purok 2, Barangay Magallon Cadre, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental on Sunday, Aug. 31.
Police Major Romulo Gepilango, Moises Padilla police chief, identified the victim as Jude of Barangay Guinpanaan, Moises Padilla.
The victim was on his way home after attending a disco at the town plaza when he overshot the provincial road and hit the steel bar of the carabao cart parked on the roadside.
The victim sustained injuries in the chest and face and was declared dead in a hospital.
Gepilango said the victim was believed to be intoxicated and might have not noticed the cart because the area is not well-lighted.
