Manila LGU receives helmets, motorcycles for cops, traffic enforcers
Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso received on Monday, Sept. 1, four new motorcycles and 700 pieces of riding gear which were donated to the city government for the use of police officers and traffic enforcers.
Domagoso, together with Manila Vice Mayor Chi Atienza, welcomed Philippine Ying Lim Fraternity President Peter Ang, Philippine Liok Kui Tong Fraternity President Hung Chi Loong, and former congressman Harry Angping at the City Hall as they presented to the city government their donation of four brand-new Honda Click motorcycles, 300 helmets, and 300 raincoats.
According to the mayor, the gifts would be given to the Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB) and the Manila Police District (MPD) for use in their operations.
"Patunay ito ng mas lumalakas na tiwala at suporta ng pribadong sektor sa pamahalaang lungsod na makapagbigay ng mas malawak na serbisyo para sa mga Manileño (This is proof of the private sector's growing trust in and support for the city government to provide broader services for Manileños)," he noted.
