BACOLOD CITY – A 37-year-old farmer was gunned down by a father and son during a drinking session in Barangay Asia, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental on Saturday night, Aug. 30.
Police Major Jaynick Bermudez, Hinoba-an police chief, said the victim Ronald was having a drinking session with the suspects and two others in a birthday party when a heated argument erupted.
Bermudez said the father drew a .45 caliber gun but his son grabbed the weapon and shot the victim in the chest thrice.
The victim and suspects had just met at the party and do not know each other personally, police said.
Bermudez said the suspects fled but were apprehended in Barangay Bulwangan, Hinoba-an on Sunday, Aug. 31, in a follow-up operation.
