DAGUPAN CITY – The Bureau of Customs and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Clark Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group intercepted a shipment of shabu valued at P75 million during an interdiction operation at the Clark Freeport Zone on Tuesday, Aug. 26.

Authorities seized a suspicious parcel declared as industrial water chiller shipped from Mexico and consigned to an address in Cainta, Rizal.
The parcel was inspected and authorities discovered 11.04 kilograms of shabu.
Two recipients of the parcel – Dexs, 52, of Cebu and Maca, 54, of Tarlac – were arrested after they claimed the item on Saturday.
They face charges for violating Sections 4, 11, and 20, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Recovered from them were identification documents, a mobile phone, vehicle, and shipping papers.
Suspects are under PDEA custody.
The PDEA said the contraband will undergo laboratory examination.
PDEA Director General Undersecretary Isagani R. Nerez commended the seamless collaboration of all law enforcement and border control agencies in the operation.
Nerez said it highlights the government’s unyielding commitment to cut the supply of illegal drugs at the country’s ports of entry.
