11-year-old boy selling online game account drowns in Antipolo creek
An 11-year-old boy was found dead in the Pasig River, Pasig City, on Sunday, Aug. 31, after being swept away while crossing a creek in Barangay Mayamot, Antipolo City, on Saturday, Aug. 30.

According to the Antipolo City Police's initial investigation, the incident happened around 3 p.m. on Saturday, at the height of heavy rains, when the victim and his sibling were crossing the creek toward SSS Village, Marikina City, allegedly to sell a Roblox online game account.
Authorities said that a strong water current suddenly arose while they were crossing. The victim’s sibling escaped and tried to help, but the victim was swept away by the strong gaza current.
On Sunday, a boatman found the child’s body in the Pasig River and immediately reported it to rescuers.
