Municipal hall in Quezon hit by dawn fire

MULANAY, Quezon – A fire hit the municipal hall of this town on Saturday, Aug. 30.
Affected offices were that of the Commission on Elections, Public Information, and Tourism.
The fire that started at around 2:20 a.m. was quickly reported by the Tactical Operations Center to the Bureau of Fire Protection-Mulanay.
The prompt response of firemen prevented the fire from spreading.
The fire destroyed documents and equipment with undetermined cost of damage in the affected offices.
Police and four inmates evacuated and valuables, documents, and firearms, were saved.
The BFP-Mulanay is investigating the cause of the fire.
