Man stabs wife to death over jealousy, nagging in Rizal
A 60-year-old woman died after being stabbed in the neck by her husband in Cainta, Rizal, reportedly due to jealousy and her alleged nagging, authorities said on Saturday, Aug. 30.

According to the Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO), the incident happened on Monday night, Aug. 25, when the suspect allegedly came home drunk and confronted the victim at their house in Barangay San Isidro out of jealousy.
Moments later, their 26-year-old daughter saw the victim bleeding from a stab wound to the neck before she collapseed on the floor and died on the spot.
Authorities said they found signs of struggle inside the house during an ocular inspection.
The suspect, identified as “Peter,” 60, was arrested during a follow-up operation in Sitio Cabading.
In an interview, the suspect admitted to committing the crime, claiming the victim was allegedly “nagging.” He said he lost control of himself, which led to the fatal attact.
He further alleged that although they had been separated for years, the victim would often come to his place and constantly nag him.
The suspect has apologized to his children. He is now detained at the Cainta Custodial Facility and may face a parricide charge.
