The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested one of the suspects in the death of a 35-year-old man whose body was found inside a hotel room in Cuba, Quezon City, on Thursday night, August 28.
According to initial investigation, the victim was last seen checking in with two male companions.
On Friday, August 29, personnel from Cubao Police Station 7 and the QCPD Forensic Unit (SOCO) processed the crime scene and recovered several pieces of evidence for forensic examination.
The body was brought to a funeral home for an autopsy.
A follow-up operation by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit and Cubao Police Station 7 led to the arrest of one suspect, identified as “James,” 20, a resident of Bulacan.
He was apprehended Friday morning outside a fast-food restaurant in Caloocan City.
Charges of robbery with homicide and violation of the Anti-Carnapping Act will be filed against the suspect.
A manhunt is ongoing for his cohort.
