Mayor Along Malapitan led the awarding of land contracts to residents on Friday, Aug. 29
Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan led the distribution of contracts to families in two barangays.
Around 300 residents from Champaca, Area B in Barangay 174, and over 600 individuals from Sitio Gitna, Barangay 166, were awarded contracts recognizing their rights over the land they have occupied.
The initiative aims to give residents stability and legal recognition over their properties.
Malapitan said the program is part of the city government’s efforts to uplift informal settler families and allow them to live with dignity and peace of mind.
