The city government of Las Piñas held a people’s caravan for 1,500 National Housing Authority (NHA) beneficiaries and brought to their doorsteps basic local services.
Las Piñas City Mayor April Aguilar said the people’s caravan which carried the theme “Serbisyong Dala ay Pag-asa” held at the CAA Elementary School was attended by NHA General Manager Joeben Tai, NHA Assistant General Manager Alvin Feliciano, and NCR South Sector Regional Manager Cromwell Teves.
Aguilar said the beneficiaries availed of free medical and dental check-ups, livelihood assistance, and other government services.
She said the caravan is part of the city’s continuing commitment to bring social services closer to the people, especially to those living in government housing communities.
The mayor assured that more caravans will be organized in different barangays to ensure that no resident is left behind in the city’s development efforts.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the initiative, noting that the caravan not only gave them access to free services but also fostered a stronger sense of community support.
