The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said tropical depression Jacinto has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28.
At the time of its departure, Jacinto had maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gusts of up to 55 kph.
It was moving north-northwestward at 10 kph.
Despite leaving the PAR, the extension or trough of Jacinto continues to affect parts of the country.
Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan, Isabela, Zambales, and Bataan.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms may prevail over the rest of Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon.
Jacinto is also enhancing the southwest monsoon (habagat), bringing cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated monsoon-induced rain showers or thunderstorms.
