CAVITE – Authorities collared a high-value drug suspect and confiscated around P2.9 million worth of illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation in front of a mall in Barangay Molino 4, Bacoor City, on Tuesday, Aug. 26.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 4A (PDEA 4A) identified the suspect as alias Samson, a 64-year-old resident of Kalaludan, Pagayawan, Lanao Del Sur.

Confiscated from him were 1,157 pieces of ecstasy and more or less 150 grams of suspected shabu.
Authorities have yet to release the official valuation of the confiscated drugs, but past PDEA estimates place the worth of the ecstasy tablets at around P1,966,900, with each tablet valued at P1,700.
As for the shabu, its market value is pegged at roughly P1,020,000, following the estimated street value rate of P6,800 per gram.
Alias Samson is now under custody and is facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The buy-bust operation was conducted by the PDEA 4A Special Enforcement Team 1, the Philippine National Police Cavite Maritime Police Station, and the Bacoor City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit.
