Jobless man tied to murder of live-in partner shot dead

SARIAYA, Quezon – A 38-year-old jobless man was shot dead by an unidentified gunman in Barangay Janagdong 2, here, Wednesday night, Aug. 27, in what police said might be a case of revenge.
The victim was identified as Ian.
Police said the victim was driving a motorcycle when a man onboard a motorcycle appeared and shot him. Ian died on the spot and the suspect fled.
Police said the victim was facing five different cases, the most significant of which was the murder of his live-in partner on May 28, 2025.
Seventeen fired cartridges cases and two deformed slugs of unknown caliber were recovered at the crime scene.
Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
