The Manila Police District reported on Thursday, August 28, that the suspect, known by the alias “Tisoy,” a resident of Interior D, Paco, Manila, was apprehended through an intelligence-driven operation dubbed Oplan Pagtugis, conducted by the MPD– District Police Intelligence and Operations Unit (DPIOU).
The operation ended in Barangay Bagtas, Tanza, Cavite, where the suspect was captured by police operatives.
His arrest was carried out based on a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 180 in Manila, dated July 25, for two counts of murder.
According to MPD District Director Brigadier Gen. Arnold Abad, the suspect is considered a "district level" most wanted person and a known gun-for-hire reportedly linked to various criminal groups.
Police investigations revealed that “Tisoy” was the gunman behind the killing of a 28-year-old online seller, identified by the alias “Kyle,” in San Andres Bukid, Manila.
Authorities believe the killing was a contract hit ordered by an individual with whom the victim had a conflict while previously detained.
Following the incident, the suspect reportedly fled the scene and disposed of the firearm used in the crime.
Police said the suspect refused to divulge who ordered the hit and to identify other individuals involved.
The victim’s mother expressed gratitude to the MPD, stating that the suspect’s arrest marks the beginning of their long-awaited pursuit of justice.
