2 Marikina cops placed under preventive custody over alleged sexual abuse of policewoman

The Eastern Police District (EPD) on Wednesday, Aug. 27, said that two police officers were placed under preventive custody following an alleged sexual abuse complaint filed by a policewoman in Marikina City.
The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday night, Aug. 17, while the victim and the two suspects, her senior non-commissioned officers (NCOs), were on duty.
EPD District Director Brig. Gen. Aden T. Lagradante said the victim reported that the incident took place inside a parked police vehicle where the suspects allegedly touched her private part.
Lagradante added that the suspects, a staff sergeant and a patrolman, have also been disarmed.
He said the two officers will face administrative and criminal charges once the investigation has confirmed the allegations.
