NARTATEZ and Ligan
ILOILO CITY — Police in Western Visayas region assured full support to Philippine National Police officer-in-charge Police Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.
“We fully commit to support his leadership as he steers the organization towards safer communities, a more professional police service, and a stronger bond of trust with the Filipino people,” said Police Brig. Gen. Josefino Ligan, Police Regional Office-6 chief.
“We extend our warmest congratulations to our new chief,” added Ligan in a statement.
Ligan was assigned to Western Visayas weeks after Police Gen. Nicolas Torre III became PNP chief.
“We also acknowledge the contributions of Gen. Torre whose leadership paved the way for sustained reforms and operational gains within the organization,” added Police Major Lailyn Sencil, PRO-6 chief information officer.
PRO-6 assured the public it is committed to upholding peace and order in the region comprising Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, and Iloilo provinces as well as the regional capital of Iloilo City.
