Fans of actress Song Da-eun issue statement of support after she uploads video showing BTS' Jimin

Fans of actress Song Da-eun issued a statement of support after she uploaded a video on TikTok showing BTS’ Jimin. 

The video, uploaded on TikTok on Aug. 27, again sparked dating rumors between the two. She deleted the video but copies have spread on social media. 

In the video, Song Da-eun was shown waiting for someone outside an elevator at the posh Nine One Hannam residential complex located in Hannam in Yongsan, Seoul. 

When the elevator opened, Jimin emerged.

He said, "What a surprise! Did you know I was coming in? I didn't tell you on purpose." The two walked together. 

On the same day, fans of the actress said they are supporting her relationship. 

“We quietly support the love Song Da-eun has chosen. We hope that love will be strengthened not by the gaze of others, but by the time the two of you spend together. Your choice should not be swayed by the gaze of others; its meaning is fulfilled only in the memories you create together,” they said. 

They added, “The attention and gaze of others can sometimes weigh heavily on you. However, true love is strengthened not in the midst of flashy lights, but in the quiet of everyday life and silent companionship. We pray that you will remain firm in your own heart and that your warm sincerity toward your partner will continue unwaveringly.”

The fans quoted part of a letter written by the late Austrian poet Rainer Maria Rilke, which states, “Love that consists in this: that two solitudes protect and border and greet each other.”

“As this passage suggests, the most beautiful thing is the courage to respect and protect each other, rather than comparing or judging. We will continue to support Song Da-eun as she lives her life independently, both as an actress and as an individual. We will listen to her voice more than to outside noise,” the fans said. 

Song Da-eun, born in 1991, is 34 while Jimin, born in 1995, is 29.

Big Hit Music, Jimin’s agency, has not issued a statement regarding the dating rumors as of this writing.
