Hongqi updates flagship EV models the E-HS9 and E-QM5 Plus

Luxury EV maker, Hongqi, introduces newer versions of its top models. Unveiled at EVOxTerra’s HQ, the TDG In.Hub Atrium in Taguig, the new E-HS9 and E-QM5 Plus bore new looks and upgrades to offer customers improved driving ranges and an even more distinctive look.
The most significant upgrades in the E-HS9 and E-QM5 Plus are the boosted single-charge driving ranges. The enhanced E-HS9 now has a driving range of 515-kilometers on a single charge — a vast improvement from the E-HS9’s driving range of 440-kilometers per single charge. Similarly, the E-QM5 Plus improves the 430-kilometer single-charge driving range to 560-kilometers. This allows customers to take on longer road trips with confidence.
In addition, the E-HS9 now comes with larger and sportier 22-inch rims as standard, an upgrade from the already large 21-inch wheels it used to have. It also comes with a premium audio system crafted by Bose, upgraded from 12 to 16 speakers to deliver an even more immersive and refined listening experience.
The E-QM5 Plus, for its part, now comes with vented seats and cruise control to further enhance the comfort of driver and passengers, further refining Hongqi’s trademark luxury experience.
The new E-HS9 Flagship will be sold at PHP6,480,000; while the E-QM5 Plus will be sold at PHP1,880,000. As Hongqi continues to firmly establish its presence in the Philippines, the E-HS9 and E-QM5 Plus make for formidable additions to the brand’s lineup.
HS3 PHEV preview
In addition to the updated E-HS9 and E-QM5 Plus models, the event also offered a first look at the upcoming Hongqi HS3 PHEV, a plug-in hybrid SUV that pairs a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a 168-kW electric motor for 565-Nm of torque and 0–100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds. With up to 115-km of pure electric range, over 1,400 km combined range, rapid 19-minute DC fast charging, and a 3.3-kW external power supply function, it delivers both performance and practicality. Inside, a high-tech cockpit, advanced safety systems, and a spacious cabin complete the package. Distinguishing itself from conventional plug-in hybrids, the Hongqi HS3 PHEV delivers a fully electric driving feel — combining instant power, exceptional acoustic refinement, and a sophisticated ride. The Hongqi HS3 PHEV is set to be one of the most anticipated arrivals in the Philippine automotive industry.
