Heart Evangelista, Barbie Forteza, and David Licauco launch McDonald's Philippines rewards program

McDonald's Philippines announced that Heart Evangelista, Barbie Forteza, and David Licauco are the new celebrity endorsers for the popular fast-food chain during an event held at Glorietta Mall in Makati City on Aug. 21.
Adi Hernandez, McDonald's Philippines corporate communications executive, welcomed Heart, Barbie, and David as new celebrity endorsers.
"We are happy with the new members of the McDonald's family: Barbie Forteza, David Licauco, and now Heart Evangelista, who are all super fans of McDonald's. That's why we are all happy for these stars to be part of McDonald's family," said Adi during an interview after the program.
Asked to comment on rumors about Heart replacing Vice Ganda as celebrity endorser for the brand, Adi remarked: "At McDonald's, welcome ang lahat. Love natin 'to. We welcome new members to the McDonald's family. We have a growing pool of endorsers, which now includes Barbie, David, and Heart."
While Adi neither denies nor confirms Vice Ganda's endorsement for the fast-food chain, it is believed that the Unkabogable Star is still part of the McDonald's family.
Heart headlined the fast-food chain's first loyalty program, MyMcDonald's Rewards, where customers can earn points as they enjoy McDonald's.
At the launch, Heart said she loves the McDonald's family. "This is a childhood dream."
Heart added, "Honestly, I've been very nervous because it hits differently when it's something about a childhood dream.
"One of my core memories is McDonald's growing up. I grew up with Happy Meals. After school, we would go to McDonald's. My sister knew that. I'm so happy it all makes sense," she recalled.
Heart described the MyMcDonald's Reward as "fantastic."
Yves Nakpil, also of McDonald's Philippines, said the campaign is the first fully digital fast-food loyalty program in the Philippines.
"So, reminder, aside from rewarding yourself, this is also a wonderful opportunity because the P10 has a reward point. So save while you enjoy your meal," Heart said.
"And then you have a moment with your friends and family. And you can also share your points with them. It's also okay for dine-in, take-out, and drive-in."
Heart said she loves the McDonald's French fries, chicken nuggets with barbecue sauce, and fillet o' fish. “Thanks for my talent fee. I bought a bag of French fries, but it didn't arrive today. However, it's a nice bag.”
Adi added, "This is a long-term initiative where our customers can keep earning points by using the McDonald's app."
