Teacher among 3 fatalities in motorcycle crash

BACOLOD CITY – Three persons, including a teacher, were killed in a motorcycle collision in Barangay Malabuhan, Siaton, Negros Oriental on Sunday night, Aug. 24.
Police Master Sgt. Jose Marie Tayko, traffic investigator of Siaton Municipal Police Station, identified the victim as Rolly, 36, a teacher; and James, 26, farmer, and his back rider Aquino, 54, all residents of Barangay Casalaan, Siaton.
Tayko said that James tried to overtake a vehicle and encroached the opposite lane and collided head-on with the other motorcycle.
Victims sustained severe injuries and were declared dead in a hospital.
