Missing security guard found dead in La Mesa Dam

A 56-year-old security guard who had gone missing while on duty has been found floating in the La Mesa Dam in Quezon City on Sunday, August 24.
Based on initial reports, the victim, a resident of Tondo, Manila, was last seen during his midnight shift before a co-worker noticed his absence at around 2:30 a.m.
Hours later, his remains were discovered floating in the water behind the guesthouse area of the dam.
Responders from the Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office were deployed to retrieve the body.
Investigators from the Quezon City Police District said an autopsy will be conducted to establish the cause of his death and to determine if foul play was involved.
As of this writing, authorities have yet to disclose further details pending the results of the forensic examination.
