All Aboard! SM North EDSA brings the world of 'One Piece' to life
Ever wanted to sail with Luffy and the Straw Hat crew? Now’s your chance—no Devil Fruit required. SM North EDSA just went full anime mode, teaming up with Toei Animation to drop the biggest “One Piece” activation in the Philippines.
The Block Atrium is now basically the “One Piece” world in real life. Here you can find giant Straw Hat statues, life-sized Zoro, Sanji, and Nami, waiting for you. There’s also interactive zones inspired by the anime’s most iconic arcs, and photo ops so good they’ll make your IG feed look like an anime storyboard.
But this isn’t just for hardcore cosplayers. Even if you’re just a casual fan, you can still geek out, flex your nakama spirit, and shop exclusive collabs from Funko, TTRacing, and Filbars. Think of it as your one-stop treasure chest of all things “One Piece.”
“We’re bringing Filipino fans closer than ever to the world of ‘One Piece’ with interactive zones inspired from the iconic moments from the series, massive inflatables, and exclusive merchandise from our partner brands,” said Miguel Gaspi, SM North EDSA’s mall manager during the activation launch last Aug. 19, 2025.
And because every pirate adventure needs a challenge, here comes the wild part: the first-ever One Piece Run in the Philippines. Yes, you read it right. On Sept. 28, 2025, SM City Fairview is turning into a running course for 8,000 fans—thanks to SM Supermalls and RunRio’s partnership.
“We are proud to host the first-ever One Piece Run in the Philippines. This is a historic moment for us as we celebrate our shared love for running, fun, and of course, the epic world of ‘One Piece,’” said RunRio founder and CEO coach Rio de la Cruz.
Don’t worry if you’re not a pro-runner—this race is for everyone. Solo runners, squads, and families are welcome to join. Each category comes with its own exclusive loot, from shirts and bandanas to a limited-edition “One Piece” collectors’ card you’ll definitely want to flex.
After its North EDSA takeover, the “One Piece” adventures activation will set sail for SM East Ortigas on Sept. 7–22, and SM Marikina on Sept. 25–Oct. 12, 2025. So rally your crew, lace up those running shoes, and get ready for a month-long party of friendship, dreams, and pirate energy.
The Grand Line isn’t just an anime world anymore—it’s waiting for you at this real-life adventure.
