SARIAYA, Quezon – A wanted man was killed during the service of warrants of arrest in Purok 5, Barangay Santo Cristo, this town, on Sunday.
Quezon police chief Police Col. Romulo Albacea identified the suspect as Pitbull.
Albacea said the suspect fired at lawmen serving warrants of arrest for murder and frustrated murder.
Lawmen returned fire and killed Pitbull.
Police said Pitbull’s companion Jims was arrested and a gun was seized from him. Another companion, Jerome, managed to escape.
Albacea lauded operating units for their achievement.
Jerome is the subject of a manhunt.
Police urged the public to provide information on wanted individuals.
Meanwhile, a 32-year-old woman with epilepsy was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Barangay Matandang Sabang Silangan, Catanauan, this province, on Saturday.
Police identified the victim as Lani.
The victim was found lying on the road with head and body injuries.
She was taken to the Bondoc Peninsula District Hospital where she was declared dead.
Police are hunting the driver of the vehicle that killed the victim.
