Stolen bikes worth P187,000 recovered in Pasig, suspect arrested
A 39-year-old man was arrested after allegedly breaking into his neighbor’s house and stealing several items, including three bicycles worth P187,000, in Barangay San Miguel, Pasig City.
The Pasig City Police Station (CPS) said the victim, a government employee, immediately reported the incident after discovering the robbery on Thursday morning, Aug. 21.
The victim said that at around 7:20 a.m., he discovered the window screen and jalousie of his house had been forcibly damaged and that several items were missing from inside.
The reported missing items include a gray Sunpeed mountain bike (worth P48,000), a black Mountain Peak bike (P74,000), a green custom bike (P65,000), a black Xiaomi electric scooter (P57,000), two toolboxes (P2,500), a microwave oven (P3,000), and a crocodile jack (P1,500).
After the victim’s report, officers from Sector 6 immediately reviewed closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, which led them to identify and arrest the suspect, identified as “Krisanto,” a resident of the same barangay. It also led to the recovery of three stolen bikes.
Authorities said a robbery complaint had been filed against the suspect before the Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office.
