The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has expanded its network of partner-institutions to include 22 additional hospitals, pharmaceutical firms, and medical suppliers that now accept its guarantee letters (GL) for clients in medical crises.
The new partnership was formalized during a signing ceremony at the DSWD Central Office in Quezon City on Aug. 23.
DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian expressed gratitude to the new partners, saying the collaboration “continues to be channels of hope for those going through traumatic and crippling situations, aiding them with vital support so they can cope and get through their crises.”
The guarantee letters, issued under the DSWD’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program, allow indigent patients to access medical care by assuring service providers that the government will cover part or all of their medical expenses.
The expanded list of hospitals and medical providers includes:
* Allied Care Experts Medical Center (ACEMC) – Mandaluyong
* Allied Care Experts Medical Center (ACEMC) – Valenzuela
* Asian Hospital and Medical Center (AHMC)
