LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – Shabu valued at P74.8 million was seized and two suspected drug pushers were arrested at the Matnog port in Sorsogon on Saturday, Aug. 23.
The suspects were identified as Jam, 34, and Sal, 19.

Acting on intelligence information, authorities intercepted a white Toyota Hilux and found 11 vacuum-sealed plastic bags, each labeled “Very Good,” containing roughly 11 kilograms of shabu.
Also recovered were assorted drug paraphernalia and personal items.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bicol spokesperson Carlo Fernandez said the contraband was believed to have originated from Metro Manila and likely destined for the Visayas or Mindanao.
Suspects face charges for violating Section 5 (Transportation of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
