Most of those affected are children aged 10 years old and below, with 3,407 cases, while 1,957 cases are among those aged 11 to 20.
Over 750 cases were recorded among individuals aged 21 to 30, and 758 among residents above 30.
With the rise in the number of cases, health authorities urged residents to keep their surroundings clean, remove stagnant water, wear protective clothing, and use mosquito repellents, especially during peak mosquito activity hours.
Residents were also advised to maintain strong immunity and seek immediate medical care if symptoms such as fever, headache, and rashes occur.
In February, the city government declared a dengue outbreak after 10 fatalities were recorded within six weeks, eight of whom were minors.
Following the outbreak declaration, the city government extended health services by keeping 66 health centers open on weekends, setting up dedicated fever express lanes, and mobilizing public hospitals to prioritize dengue patients.
Vector control measures were also intensified in barangays with high cases.
