Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan said the initiative is part of the city’s commitment to digitalizing education and addressing the needs of its large student population.
We have 260,960 students this year and Caloocan has the second largest number of students in Metro Manila. We admit that we still have a lot to improve on in the education sector. But what is important is that we continue in our efforts to provide modern facilities to our students in Caloocan),” he said.
We prioritized providing our students with decent classrooms and facilities. Now, our priority includes adding more gadgets, IT equipment, and smart classrooms and laboratories to help students keep up with the modern era)," he added.
Malapitan said they are targeting to distribute the gadgets to the beneficiary schools by the end of 2025.
