BUTUAN CITY – Police arrested a 41-year-old man for allegedly raping his 17-year-old daughter in Kibawe, Bukidnon.
Police Regional Office 10-Regional Public Information Office (PRO 10-RPIO) chief Police Major Joan G. Navarro said the suspect was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 21.
The suspect was the sixth most wanted person on the regional level and apprehended on a warrant of arrest for qualified rape and sexual assault dated Aug. 1, 2025.
“The suspect was completely surprised when arresting police units arrived in his farmland,” Navarro said.
The court recommended no bail for rape but put up a P100,000 bail for the sexual assault cases.
Navarro said the victim was raped last March and May.
Out of fear, the victim initially remained silent as she was threatened by her father but later disclosed the abuses to her mother.
The suspect is under the custody of the Kibawe Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
PRO-10 Director Police Brig. Gen. Rolindo M. Suguilon lauded operating units for their swift action and underscored their commitment to justice.
