LPA develops into tropical depression Isang

The low-pressure area (LPA) east of Aurora developed into tropical depression at 8 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 22, and was given the local name “Isang,”said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
PAGASA said it will begin issuing tropical cyclone bulletins at 11 a.m. to provide updates on Isang’s movement and potential impacts.
Isang is the fourth tropical cyclone this month, following Fabian, Gorio, and Huaning.
It is also the ninth cyclone to form or enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility in 2025.
