Caloocan City deploys 'libreng sakay' vehicles for stranded commuters
The Caloocan City government deployed vehicles to provide free rides to stranded individuals in the city due to heavy rains brought about by the southwest monsoon (habagat) and Tropical Depression Isang on Friday, August 22.
Free rides will be available in both South and North Caloocan, covering major routes where commuters are commonly affected by flooding and transport disruptions.
For South Caloocan, the routes include Rizal Avenue, R. Papa, BMC, and McArthur Highway; BMC to SM North EDSA; BMC to Sta. Quiteria; BMC to Bagong Barrio; and BMC via Sangandaan, Maypajo, and A. Mabini.

In North Caloocan, the free ride routes are Novaliches–Susano Road–Bagumbong; Novaliches to Bagong Silang; Novaliches to Camarin Kiko; SM Fairview to Bagong Silang; SM Fairview to Almar; and SM Fairview to Kiko Camarin and Tala.
