The 13th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards recognizes people and projects that shape the Philippine property sector
This year’s honor roll at the 13th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Award.
On August 15, the 13th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards hailed in a festive awards event the distinguished leaders and landmark developments of the property sector across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Nearly 70 golden statuettes were presented to more than 30 outstanding developers at the grand ballroom at Shangri-La The Fort in BGC, Taguig.
“The PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards plays a vital role in this journey by spotlighting the developers, designers, and leaders who are helping shape communities that are smarter, greener, and more liveable. Tonight’s honorees exemplify this mission, setting benchmarks for quality, creativity, and integrity in the built environment,” said Cyndy Tan Jarabata, chairperson of the awards in the Philippines and president of TAJARA Leisure and Hospitality Group Inc.
In a remarkable four-peat performance, Robinsons Land was crowned Best Developer. The real estate giant also bagged this year’s Best Luxury Developer and Best Sustainable Developer for such projects as The Mall by NUSTAR, work.able GBF Center 1, and The Victor at Bridgetowne.
Its residential development arm, RLC Residences, won titles for projects like Sync and The Residences at The Westin Manila. Recognized as Best Commercial Developer, Robinsons Offices won three titles across the projects GBF Centers 1 and 2, while Robinsons Hotels and Resorts was awarded Best Operational Hospitality Portfolio for its developments, including Fili Hotel Bridgetowne. The Velaris Residences North Tower, a joint venture between Robinsons Land and Hongkong Land, earned Best Condo Development, among other winning titles.
The first-ever Life Achievement Award at the PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards was handed to Lance Y. Gokongwei, chairman of Robinsons Land Corporation, for his decades-long achievements, including portfolio expansions and significant investments in renewable energy.
The fast-growing Cebu Landmasters, Inc. took home titles for Best Developer (Mindanao) and Best Developer (Visayas). Also hailed as Best Housing Developer, Cebu Landmasters, Inc. gained wins for the projects Mivela Garden Residences, Casa Mira Towers LPU Davao, and Velmiro Plains Bacolod.
Damosa Land, Inc., winner of Best Boutique Developer, ranks among the victorious honorees from Mindanao this year. In addition to Agriya Gardens winning Best Housing Development, the Davao-based developer won for the projects Kahi Estates and Bridgeport Park. Davao-based developer Alsons Development and Investment Corporation also won honors for Avia Estate and Narra Park Residences Avia.
Cebu-based developer Johndorf Ventures Corporation debuted at the awards this year with several wins across the projects Johndorf Tower and Plumera Mactan.
Robinsons Land won Best Developer (Luzon), while Fiesta Communities Incorporated was named Best Affordable Housing Developer, buoyed by winning Luzon projects Fiesta Communities Aguso and Kaya Homes.
Hailed as the Best Industrial Developer, Aboitiz InfraCapital Economic Estates earned wins for the central Luzon projects LIMA Estate, Biz Hub at LIMA Estate, and LIMA Tower One.
Rafael Fernandez de Mesa, president and CEO of Aboitiz Land, Inc., and head of Aboitiz InfraCapital Economic Estates, was chosen as the Real Estate Personality of the Year for leading the development of smart and sustainable, industrial-anchored, and mixed-use developments.
SM Prime won accolades for Batangas projects Trealva at Midlands West by Highlands Prime, Inc., and Pico Terraces by Costa del Hamilo, Inc. Additionally, SMDC Symphony Homes garnered titles for Sunnyhomes and Sunnyvale 1. In Metro Manila, SM Estates won the first-ever Best Township Development for the SM Mall of Asia Complex.
Jessica Bianca T. Sy, VP and head of Design, Innovation, and Strategy at SM Prime and SMDC, was conferred the Rising Star award for her leadership role at the SM Group and as one of the PropertyGuru Power Women of 2024.
In addition to winning Best Breakthrough Developer, Primehomes Real Estate Development, Inc. won for Primehomes Capitol Hills, also in Metro Manila.
This year’s awards also cited property developments that adhered to ESG standards and practices. RLC Residences won the Sustainable Design and Energy Efficiency awards, while RLove by Robinsons Land Foundation, Inc. won the Social Impact Award. I-Land, Inc. also received the Sustainable Design Award.
“The real estate market continues to diversify and decentralize across the islands, and with these awards, the Philippines continues to show its commitment to sound, sustainable urbanization, whether in the form of master-planned developments or strategically located projects in the archipelago's urban centers,” said Jules Kay, general manager of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards and Events.
All awardees will be competing in the 20th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final, which will happen in Bangkok this December.
