Geely Motor Philippines has announced a nationwide enhancement of its aftersales service, anchored by a six-month stockpile of vehicle parts aimed at reducing delays and improving customer experience across its dealer network.
The company stated that the stockpile covers both fast- and slow-moving parts, including maintenance items, brake components, accessories, lubricants, and chemicals. By ensuring higher availability of these items, Geely expects repairs and servicing to be completed more quickly. According to the company, this approach will enable service teams to complete more repairs on the first visit and minimize vehicle downtime.
“We are actively working to make this level of parts availability the standard across our network, with full implementation expected soon,” said Sylva Yu, CEO of Geely Motor Philippines. “This enables our service teams to complete more repairs on the first visit and significantly reduce downtime for customers.
The company noted that the updated operating model addresses long-standing concerns of customers, as even minor repairs often led to prolonged waiting periods while vehicles sat idle without available parts. With the new system, Geely aims to avoid such setbacks and ensure faster repair completion.
The new operating model also streamlines warranty processes. Under the upgraded system, warranty claims can be approved within a day at the dealership level, eliminating the need for head office approval. This change is expected to reduce administrative delays, enabling faster turnaround for vehicle owners.
Beyond parts supply and warranty processing, Geely plans to hold quarterly customer service engagements in partnership with its dealer network. These sessions will offer direct consultations with service advisors, vehicle assessments, and maintenance advice tailored to individual driving conditions. Dealers may also present new service tools and technologies during these events.
The aftersales network currently includes 30 dealers nationwide, each equipped to handle routine servicing and complex diagnostics. Geely states that increased manpower and expanded service bays will help reduce waiting times, especially during busy periods.
These measures are part of the direct operations model introduced this year, following the establishment of Geely Motor Philippines Corporation as a subsidiary of Geely Auto Group. The direct setup allows for closer dealer coordination, faster decision-making, and alignment with the automaker’s global service standards.
“These improvements come with a clear standard for how we operate,” Yu added. “We have set fixed benchmarks for parts availability, repair turnaround, and dealer readiness, and we will track and maintain them as part of our operating discipline.”
Geely entered the Philippine market in 2019 and has since expanded its customer base to more than 30,000 units sold. With direct operations now established, the company aims to strengthen its nationwide support system through improved aftersales services, warehousing, logistics, and dealer support.
