Mayor Emi condemns robbery incident that victimized Comelec chairman
Orders heightened security in the city
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano has issued a stern instruction to the police to thoroughly investigate and solve the robbery incident inside a restaurant in the city that victimized Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman George Garcia.
Rubiano instructed Pasay City Police Chief Col. Joselito De Sesto to address the robbery incident with utmost urgency even as she ordered heightened security measures to prevent similar occurrences.

“I have given stern instructions to ensure a thorough investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice. The Pasay City Police is fully engaged in tracking down the group of “salisi” responsible for victimizing Chairman Garcia, and we are working diligently to apprehend all seven individuals,” Rubiano said.
She said criminal elements are not allowed in Pasay City to threaten the safety of city residents and visitors.
The mayor also called on the community to remain vigilant and cooperative with authorities, stressing the importance of reporting any suspicious activity.
Garcia was reportedly with his bodyguards having lunch at the second floor of Singing Cooks and Waiters Atbp restaurant located along Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City, at around 12:50 p.m. after attending a Senate hearing on anti-political dynasty.
The suspects stole the bag of Garcia, which was placed beside him, containing an undetermined amount of cash, several personal identification cards, and a cellphone.
