NBA star Kyle Kuzma visited the Tenement in Punta, Sta. Ana, Manila on Wednesday, August 20, for the unveiling of a new mural in his honor, and was joined by Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and Vice Mayor Chi Atienza in a celebration of basketball, street art, and community pride.
Local artists painted the mural on the basketball court in Barangay 901, Punta, Sta. Ana.
It is the latest installment in a long-running mural project at the Tenement, now seven years in the making.
Launched in 2018, the Tenement mural initiative has paid tribute to some of the biggest names in basketball, including Michael Jordan, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Luka Dončić, and now, Kyle Kuzma.
Domagoso said the artworks have turned the Tenement into a cultural and tourist landmark, especially among basketball fans.
During the event, Kuzma met with residents and briefly played basketball with children.
