Driver arrested for 51 counts of rape

Police arrested a 45-year-old van driver from Tayabas City, Quezon province for 51 counts of rape.
The suspect Marlon was apprehended in Barangay San Jose Mindanao Extension, Fairview, Quezon City on Aug. 19.
Tayabas City police chief Police Lt. Col. Elizabeth Capistrano said Marlon was the second most wanted person on the provincial level and most wanted person on the municipal level.
Marlon faces 29 counts of statutory rape under Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Republic Act 7610 and 22 counts of sexual assault.
The suspect was arrested on a warrant issued by Judge Catherine M. Monsod, Presiding Judge, Family Court Branch 10, Mamburao, Mindoro Occidental.
No bail was recommended for his provisional liberty.
