2 injured in Pasay residential fire

Two people were injured while assisting to contain a fire that broke out at a residential property in Pasay City, Wednesday morning, August 20.
SFO1 Rezmond Germnino of the Pasay City Bureau of Fire Protection identified the injured as Jedd Galarde, 41, who suffered second-degree burns on the left shoulder, and Athan Pangnibaan, 21, who sustained abrasion on the left hand.
Germino said the fire started at about 10:47 a.m. on the second floor of the house owned by Jobinal Gallarde, located at Sampaguita B, Sunvalley St., Barangay 197, Pasay City.
He said the blaze, which damaged four houses, was declared under control at 11:06 a.m. and extinguished at 11:28 a.m.
Two ambulances arrived at the scene and immediately gave first-aid treatment to the two injured victims.
Damage to property was placed at P105,000, while the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
