More than 150 fast food managers from various establishments across the City of Manila met with Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso
More than 150 fast food managers from various establishments across the City of Manila met with the local government to discuss ongoing initiatives aimed at expanding employment opportunities for senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs), improving customer service, and strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors.
Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso led the meeting with the managers to discuss the implementation of City Ordinance No. 8598, which mandates fast food companies operating in Manila to hire senior citizens and PWDs.
The program seeks to open more job opportunities, enhance the quality of service in the city, and foster stronger collaboration between the government and private businesses.
In addressing the attendees, Domagoso reassured them of the city government's support.
"You can go to a city hall where there is a government, it may not be a perfect government, but I can assure you, there is a government. Hindi kami perpekto, lalo na ako, but I guarantee you, may pamahalaan, mayroon kayong pwedeng takbuhan (We’re not perfect, especially myself, but I guarantee you, there is a functioning government. You can go to City Hall and know that there’s someone you can turn to)," he said.
This initiative underscores Manila’s ongoing commitment to inclusive employment and service improvement through active cooperation with the private sector.
