Man nabbed for stealing copper wires from Imus fast food resto
CAVITE – A man was arrested after being caught stealing copper wires installed in a fast food restaurant in Imus City on Monday, Aug. 18.
A report from the Police Regional Office 4A identified the suspect as alias Hector, a construction worker residing in Imus.
Initial investigation stated that a security guard caught the suspect in the act of taking the wires and immediately sought help from the police.
Confiscated from the suspect were copper wires valued at P10,000.
Authorities also seized a gun and live ammunition from alias Hector’s possession.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Imus Component City Police Station and is facing charges for theft and violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
The recovered firearm, meanwhile, will be subjected to ballistic examination.
