Caraga's most wanted falls in Southern Leyte

CAMP COL. RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – Police arrested the most wanted person in the Caraga region on Thursday, Aug. 14, in Southern Leyte.
“The suspect was completely surprised when our combined police force arrived in his hiding place somewhere in Sogod, Southern Leyte,” Police Regional Office-13 Regional Public Information Office (RPIO) chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer said on Monday, Aug. 19.
The 62-year-old suspect was arrested on warrants for murder with no bail recommended and attempted.
PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Marcial Mariano P. Magistrado IV commended operating units for their achievement.
The suspect was allegedly a member of the communist movement in the Caraga region and killed two farmers in Surigao del Sur.
He also allegedly engaged the military in an encounter in Kitcharao, Agusan del Norte, on Oct. 9, 2017.
