Tesla has enhanced its charging network in the Philippines by adding four new sites as part of its strategy to increase accessibility by strategically placing chargers based on traffic data, customer feedback, and proximity to popular destinations.
These new locations are Destination Charging sites. Unlike Tesla's high-powered Superchargers, which can significantly increase range in about 15 minutes, Destination Chargers are designed for longer parking durations. They are ideally suited for locations such as malls, hotels, and resorts where drivers may stay for extended periods.
One of the new installations is located at Okada Manila, featuring four Destination Chargers at FA-46 Lower Ground Level. This marks the first integrated resort in Entertainment City to host Tesla chargers, aligning with Okada's Green Heart sustainability program. The site operates 24/7 at a rate of ₱16 per kWh.
In Antipolo, Vista Mall now provides four Destination Chargers in the open parking area near the Phase 1 Building. Operating from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., this facility serves Tesla owners traveling to and from eastern Metro Manila, with charging priced at ₱16 per kWh.
Century City Mall in Makati has also joined the network, featuring four Destination Chargers located in the B1 Car Park. These chargers are available during mall hours at ₱16 per kWh, catering to EV owners in one of the capital's busiest commercial districts.
In Taguig, Venice Grand Canal Mall now offers four Destination Chargers in its B1 Car Park, also accessible during mall operating hours at ₱16 per kWh. This allows Tesla owners to recharge while enjoying the mall's shopping, dining, and leisure options.
All Tesla charging locations are integrated into the Tesla App, enabling users to locate available stations, monitor charging progress, and manage payments seamlessly.
Tesla's network also includes Supercharger sites at Uptown Mall Taguig, SM Mall of Asia in Pasay, and Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong, operating at ₱19 per kWh. Eastwood Mall in Quezon City hosts Destination Chargers as well, priced at ₱16 per kWh.
With these new additions, Tesla reaffirms its commitment to making electric vehicle ownership in the Philippines more practical, promoting the wider adoption of sustainable mobility.
