Korean singer, entertainer Kim Jong-kook announces he is getting married
Korean singer and entertainer Kim Jong-kook, 49, is finally getting married.
Kim Jong-kook, a cast member of the Korean variety TV show “Running Man,” will be tying the knot in a private wedding ceremony in Seoul with only family and close friends in attendance.
He personally confirmed the news through a post on his fan cafe on Aug. 18.
“I've always mentally prepared myself for the day when I would write and post something like this myself, but as I prepare this, I'm more nervous and anxious than I ever imagined,” he said.
He added, “I'm writing this to be the first to let all of you, the fans who have always believed in me, supported me, and been by my side as a human being, Kim Jong-kook, know.”
“I'm getting married. I actually said I'd be revealing it little by little... But I'm sure many of you feel it's still a bit sudden,” he said.
According to him, “This year marks my 30th debut anniversary, but I didn't make the album I wanted to make, and instead, I made my own half. Still, please congratulate me and support me. It's a bit late, but it's such a blessing to be going this way, isn't it?”
“I'll try to live well. I'm planning to have a small wedding in the near future, with just family, relatives, and a few close friends. Thanks to my fans, who have always been a great support, I'm getting married and taking on new challenges in life. I'll work harder and live more diligently as Kim Jong-kook,” he said.
