Families affected by fire in Buli in Muntinlupa to get financial assistance
Families that were affected by a fire in Barangay Buli, Muntinlupa last Aug. 16 will get financial assistance from the Muntinlupa City government.
The fire hit a residential area in Espeleta Street Onsite at about 3:53 a.m. The blaze was put out at 5:28 a.m.
In an updated report, the Muntinlupa City government said there were 37 families affected, consisting of 121 individuals. A total of 22 houses were damaged by the fire.
Three persons were injured, consisting of one who suffered burns and two who had minor injuries.
The Muntinlupa Social Services Department (SSD) conducted mapping of the area and interviewed and issued disaster cards to affected individuals.
The city government provided meals and relief assistance to the families. Mayor Ruffy Biazon visited the site to assess the damage.
The affected families are staying in an evacuation center with modular tents.
The SSD will recommend financial assistance to be given to the families. Muntinlupa has an ordinance that allows giving of financial assistance to families affected by fires.
