Pasig City's solo parents at the cash subsidy distribution in Barangay San Miguel.
The Pasig City government, through its City Social Welfare and Development Office, distributed cash aid to 4,276 eligible solo parents as part of its 2nd quarter cash subsidy.
According to the city government, each beneficiary received P3,000 for the months of April to June, while others got P6,000 after completing their documents for the 1st quarter cash subsidy.
“Ang pamamahagi ng P1,000 kada buwan na cash subsidy ay alinsunod sa Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act at sa implementasyon nito sa lungsod sa pamamagitan ng City Ordinance No. 78, s. 2023 o mas kilala bilang Pasig City Comprehensive Solo Parent Ordinance (The distribution of P1,000 per month cash subsidy is in accordance with the Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act and its implementation in the city through City Ordinance No. 78, s. 2023 or better known as the Pasig City Comprehensive Solo Parent Ordinance)," the local government unit (LGU) said.
Solo parents who failed to get their cash subsidy may coordinate with their Barangay Solo Parent Help Desk representative for the schedule of the distribution of unclaimed subsidies.
Meanwhile, those who wish to register as solo parent may proceed to their respective barangay hall and look for their Solo Parent Help Desk representative for details and requirements.
RA 11861, which amended RA 8972 or the Solo Parents’ Welfare Act of 2000, promotes the rights of Filipino solo parents and ensures that they can receive adequate social protection programs from the government.
