'Mga bobo kayo': Unruly motorist apprehended in BGC in Taguig
The Taguig police apprehended a man for disobeying and shouting at authorities in Bonifacio Global City (BGC).
The apprehension happened at the corner of 25th Street and 9th Avenue in BGC, Taguig. Personnel from the Fort Bonifacio Police Substation 1 were providing security and traffic management when they stopped the man for using an open pipe muffler and improper dress code.
The suspect recorded the incident and shouted at the police, “Mga bobo kayo, di nyo alam ang trabaho nyo,” in the presence of bystanders.
Despite repeated orders from the police to desist, the man continued the unruly behavior, prompting his arrest.
The man was apprehended for violation of Article 151 (resistance and disobedience to a person in authority) and Article 287 (unjust vexation) of the Revised Penal Code.
He was turned over to the Taguig police’s Station Investigation and Detective Management Section (SIDMS) for investigation and filing of appropriate charges before the Taguig prosecutor’s office.
The Taguig police reminded the public that law enforcers are duty-bound to uphold peace and order, and expect full cooperation during lawful interventions.
Acts of resistance, verbal abuse, or disturbance against police officers performing their lawful duties will be dealt with in accordance with the law, the police added.
