Antipolo bishop leads prayers for LGUs of Rizal, Marikina

The Diocese of Antipolo has concluded the celebration of the Jubilee for Government Officials in the province with a blessing and reminders to the local leaders of their role as "steward" in their respective localities.
During the Holy Mass for the celebration of the Diocesan Jubilee for Government Officials held at Saint Ursula Parish Church in Binangonan, where several Rizal government officials gathered, Antipolo Bishop Ruperto C. Santos reminded the local government unit leaders that public service is rooted in compassion, humility, and hope.
Senator Erwin Tulfo who served as the guest speaker during the religious occasion, shared insights and reflections with the gathered Rizal Province’s provincial and local government officials, including Rizal Vice Governor Josefina Gatlabayan, provincial board members, and Binangonan Mayor Rhea Ynares.
Tulfo shared his thoughts on what public service is all about- “to give even if it would mean not having anything left for ourselves”.
The senator urged his fellow public servants to give the benefits that the people deserve and rally for their rights.
“I hope we help one another so we can harmoniously work to provide quality service for our constituents,” Tulfo said during his talk before several local leaders coming from various localities in Rizal Province and Marikina City, during the diocesan jubilee celebration for the local government leaders.
The neophyte senator, who once headed the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) encouraged the government officials to inspire one another in a Christian way, not wasting the trust of the people, but to work hard and act upon their needs.
The Saint Ursula Parish, known for its stunning Baroque architecture and rich history dating back to 1612, provided a fitting backdrop for the significant gathering.
The parish has recently been declared a National Cultural Treasure by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, recognizing its exceptional cultural, historical, and artistic significance.
Over the weekend, some parish churches in Rizal Province also hosted its respective jubilee celebration for the local leaders.
